Color Lounge Salon Policies

To ensure the best experience for all clients and maintain a professional environment, please review and acknowledge the following policies:


Booking/Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable security deposit of $60–$300 (depending on the service booked) is required to reserve an appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your final service total. Once submitted, your credit card will be stored securely in our booking system.

  • Cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows within 48 hours of the appointment will result in forfeiture of the deposit. No exceptions.

  • Cancellations or reschedules more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit.

  • Clients who cancel, reschedule, or do not show within 48 hours will also be charged a broken appointment fee equal to the deposit amount for the scheduled service ($60–$300).

We understand that emergencies happen, but as a small business, last-minute cancellations create significant loss. Thank you for respecting our policy.

Payments

  • All credit card transactions are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.

Late Policy

  • Please arrive on time to receive your full service.

  • If you arrive late, part or all of your service may be forfeited depending on your stylist’s schedule.

  • A late fee of $25 will be applied for every 15 minutes past the appointment time (excluding hourly services).

  • Note that Hourly services start at the time of appointment. Billing begins at the scheduled appointment start time, regardless of arrival time.

Sick Policy

  • Clients who are sick, showing symptoms of illness, or have a fever will not be accepted for service.

  • If you, or anyone you have been in close contact with, has experienced symptoms, been diagnosed with a contagious condition in the last 14 days, or is awaiting test results, please cancel your appointment immediately.

  • We will gladly reschedule your appointment for a later date once you are well.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to clients with repeated cancellations, no-shows, or those who arrive intoxicated or under the influence of heavy medication.

Refund Policy

  • All hair services and product purchases are non-refundable.

  • If you have concerns about your service, please contact the salon within 7 days of your appointment.

  • Deposits are non-refundable if you decide not to proceed with your scheduled service.

  • Please note that all Color Lounge artists are independent, self-employed hairstylists operating their own businesses within the salon. Each stylist is fully responsible for their services, including handling any client concerns or complaints. For service-related issues, please contact your stylist directly.

Other Salon Rules & Regulations

  • No smoking or vaping inside the salon.

  • Animals: Only service animals are permitted (no Emotional Support Animals).

  • Children: By law, children may not be left unattended. If you bring a child, they must be supervised by another adult (not yourself during your service).

Understanding Pricing

At Color Lounge, we strive to create a unique style and identity for each individual client. We base our pricing on several different factors, such as: 

• Length of Hair

• Density of Hair

• Quantity of product used (Some clients may have short hair, but very dense hair; therefore more products will be used and an additional Extra Color fee or Extra Hair fee will apply.)

• Time spent 

  • Haircuts generally take 1-1.5 hours from start to finish

  • Overall Base Color can take a minimum of 2 hours and up

  • Highlights, Blonding, Balayage, and other specialty Hair Coloring can take at least a minimum of 4 hours and up

• Stylist's Demand on their Time

Hourly: Certain services may be based on an Hourly rate, such as Color Correction, Blonding or any lightening services, Creative/Vivid Hair Color, Going Gray, Hair Extensions, or the Brazilian Blow Out, due to the fact that there is no definitive, standard length of time needed to finish and achieve the desired results. Note that Hourly services start at time of appointment. It is recommended to book a 30-60 minute consultation prior to booking an hourly service to allow for better planning and execution during your service appointment. 

*All Haircuts/Color/Lightening Services include a Standard Blow Dry or Diffusing Service. Please inform front desk/your stylist if you have thick, dense, coarse, or extra curly hair and request for Additional Time or Additional Iron Work to ensure that you will leave the salon with a finished style. Additional fees will apply.

*Note that a root touch up is considered to be no more than 1/2 an inch to 1 inch from the scalp to the demarcation line. Anything longer than your heat zone will result in multiple processes and in some cases, a color correction. Once the stylist establishes your heat zone, we are able to determine the length of roots for hair color/lightener to process more evenly. Please ask your stylist for the recommended time to come back for a root touch up application (Normally between 4-6 weeks).
